Design

The cake design is determined by the flavor of the cake + the feel for your event. If you have a specific design in mind, we’ll discuss whether it’s something I can pull off or not. Most cakes will have a minimalist style of decoration, but may have extra icing decoration that your guests can scrape off if they don’t enjoy an overwhelming amount of frosting.

Delivery/Pickup

Cakes can be picked up in Cantril, IA. Delivery may be an option to your venue or a meetup location with a round trip delivery fee of $.55/mile. Cakes may be picked up/delivered up to two days prior to the event—this will have no effect on the quality of the cake, though it will shorten the expiration date on some cakes.

Details

The most important thing to me is that your cake tastes incredible! I create bespoke flavors and combinations. The cake, buttercream, and fillings are all made from scratch. Most cakes will also have a filling and possibly a crumble in-between the layers as well. We will chat to decide what the flavor is that will fit you best!

My cakes are seed oil-free. If you have any allergies, these must be mentioned at the time of booking. At this time, I do not offer gluten-free or dairy-free options—you can check out Melissa at Desserts by Design for that! I also do not currently offer fondant cakes or cakes covered with large amounts of darkly colored icing due to the amount of food dye needed. The largest cake size that I offer is a 10” cake stacked with a 6” cake. Serving amounts are approximate based on general recommendations.

Availability

All cake orders are subject to my availability. Due to my schedule, it is recommended to inquire about a cake at least a month in advance, but I can occasionally do cakes last minute as well!
