If your wedding or celebration doesn’t quite fit into one of these photography packages, feel free to inquire via the one that fits you best and request a custom package. Sales tax is always included in the cost and is not added on at payment. Travel is not included, see below for travel costs.

Please mention any add-ons that you are interested in when you inquire!

Add-ons:

  • Roll of film: $50/per roll (this is the at-cost value), no guarantee on the amount of frames in the final gallery

  • Local Second Shooter: $150 small wedding, $250 all out wedding contingent on availability of local photographer

 Additional details

  • You will receive all of the images from your wedding day in an online gallery where you will be able to download the files and save them forever. From this gallery you will also be able to share them with family and friends, create favorites lists, and purchase fine art prints and wall art. I strongly encourage that you get your photos printed and highly recommend Mpix and Artifact Uprising.

  • For a full wedding day package, I may bring an assistant or intern with me to tag team throughout the day. This is different than a second shooter as we will typically not be shooting at the same time. I will be paying them myself and there would be no additional cost to you. If you would like a second shooter to also be capturing images, you can have that added on to your package. This will mean much more coverage of your day. I typically try to always use a local second shooter so that you don’t have any additional travel costs.

  • Travel costs are additional to photography package costs. My travel policy is that weddings over 60 miles from Cantril, IA will have a travel cost. Travel costs are custom quoted and are based on your local lodging cost, driving/flight cost, meal cost, and time spent traveling cost. My policy is that I will make all of my own travel arrangements. Generally these cities will cost: Des Moines-$300; Davenport-$350; Iowa City-$300; Peoria-$400; Kansas City-$450. Travel in the US will rarely be more than $1000. Weddings in Iowa, Missouri, or Illinois will on average be under $600 for travel. I typically do not travel outside of the Midwest.

Melody Zimmerman of Amaranth Creative, is based in Iowa and offers wedding and elopement photography that is moody, romantic, and filmic. If you are looking for a wedding photographer that will help you to feel relaxed, calm, and at ease, you’ve come to the right place! As your wedding photographer, I will coordinate with you and/or your wedding planner to create detailed timelines for your photography. I will be dedicated to capturing all of the important moments on your wedding day in a way that is creative and beautiful. My goal is to create photographs that you will treasure for years to come. I am most passionate about photographing weddings and elopements based in the Midwest, especially in Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois.

A bulletin board displaying vintage photographs, a silver coin, a handwritten note, and a small white card with textual notes including "SUMMER: GREENWOOD: SOLITUDE." One photograph shows a group of women in vintage dresses outdoors, and another is a black-and-white portrait of a woman in old-fashioned clothing.
